Mie calculations are performed to produce complete scattering properties for various aerosel models contained in LOWTRANs model atmospheres. Those properties are used in a solar single scattering approximation for inhomogeneous spherical atmospheres based on LOWTRANs transmission functions. A multiple scattering addingdoubling code for plane-paralle atmospheres is developed and can be used to represent multiple scattered radiative fields in spherical atmospheres over a wide range of angle and path parameters. All data and codes are documented so they can be used in future research.
