Population studies were made for algae collected from creeks on the Eglin Air Force Base reservation in Northwest Florida. Cultures of several of the algal species found in the creeks were isolated and exposed to various concentrations of UO2 and U308 to determine how the algae responded, how much uranium they took up, and what uptake mechanism was involved. Factors related to mobility of uranium on the reservation are discussed. Author
