Abstract:

The authors have developed a prototype computerized model for acquisition strategy comparison. An interactive menu selection process is used to obtain a general description of the weapon system concept and program objectives. The model and the user then interact to successively reduce the number of strategy alternatives to a small set containing the preferred alternatives for a particular situation. The model was limited to two categories of weapon systems tactical missiles and electronic subsystems.
