Two small reservoirs were used in an investigation to determine the concentrations of mercury in the impounded water as each basin filled. There was an initial sampling of soil and plant specimens from the pre-flooded reservoir sites to establish background levels of mercury. The reservoir waters were then sampled and analyzed for mercury, as well as other limnological parameters for several months after filling. Author
