Impact of Augmented Field Populations of Arzama densa Larvae on Waterhyacinth.

This research was conducted to evaluate the use of Arzama densa as a biological agent for the management of waterhyacinth. Third instar larvae were released at different rates, and their impact was monitored over a 4-month period. A statistically significant reduction in biomass was noted in the experimental plots along with an increase in the production of daughter plants. The treatment did not reduce surface coverage. Author
