Abstract:

A family of distributions is used to model a climatic or other variable over a region. The entire family of distributions may be estimated by utilizing a sample of locations throughout the region and the dependence of the parameters of distributions on independent variables. Regression models are used to estimate the parameters for a location with given values of the independent variables. Author
