The primary objective of this study was to determine which species of rare or endangered vascular plants occur in the Illinois and Mississippi River floodplains. Other objectives were to describe the habitats in which these species occur, and to discuss the overall distribution of each species. An attempt was made to indicate the distribution of each species by navigational pools, but the precise distributional data were not sufficient.
