The survey identified 122 archeological sites which represent 109 prehistoric and 22 historic components. Each identified site is assessed on its own merits relative to a number of defined characteristics. The resulting assessments of information yield potential indicate that the selection of each of the proposed reservoir alternatives will result in adverse effects on significant cultural resources andor information. The means are provided to predict the densities and distributions of various kinds of prehistoric and historic sites and of a number of information yield potential categories. The patterns of site distributions are used to assess the relative impact of each reservoir and recommend specific alternatives. Additional recommendations are presented to mitigate the loss of significant cultural information, to limit andor regulate land use, to preserve andor protect significant cultural information, to limit andor regulate land use, to preserve andor protect significant cultural resources, and to increase the efficiency of future archeological investigations.
