Abstract:
This paper outlines results presented on the problem of controlling bilinear distributed parameter systems. Specifically, we give results showing that one cannot control a bilinear distributed parameter system to a full open neighborhood of an infinite dimensional state space. Nevertheless, we do present a result which allows identification of an accessible set of states for a class of hyperbolic control systems.
