Abstract:

The Military Adjustment Units MAU Evaluation Report provides a descriptive summary of the characteristics of the MAU units in existence and their target population recommendations for possible means of improving MAU effectiveness and efficiency and recommendations for cost effective implementation of new MAU units at other training centers. The evaluation was in support of the Military Life Coping Skills Program as part of the revised Basic Skills Education Program. Its primary purpose was to determine if Mau training was effective in helping trainees cope with the demands of Army life in Initial Entry Training IET. There are some statements in the report that are subjective and are not supported by data however, the report is informative and could be helpful to training centers opting for the establishment of MAU.
