Abstract:

With the onset of new technological advances in microelectronics, it is possible to acquire data in digital form directly in the field as opposed to recording analogue data in the field then in a separate laboratory process convert to digital data. Most of the DNA field event data include responses from accelerometers, pressure gages, velocity gages and stress-strain measurements. The effect of the precision of a digital data acquisition system on the data and the integrals is the subject of this report from the point of view of digital data analysis using various word sizes.
