Abstract:

A dominant-data matching method is presented for obtaining a reduced-order pulse-transfer function from either a high-order continuous-data transfer function or a high-order pulse-transfer function, and for identifying the pulse-transfer function of a system from available experimental time and frequency response data. The method may also be applied to the digital control systems design problem with various sampling periods.
