Abstract:
This study examines the environment of the current estimation methodologies and their implications to the decision making process. This included both the objective estimates of Soviet defense spending and the policy issues involved when comparing this expenditure with that of the U.S. A secondary method of comparison, involving production functions relationship, is also developed. Comparisons based on these production-theoretic indices can provide useful information concerning the resource implications of defense spending. Author
