Abstract:
Various studies undertaken for relating the proton event time characteristics to radio burst data are described. Eastern hemispheric events generally have a much larger onset time compared to the Western events. For western hemispheric events, the rise time of the radio burst is found to be well correlated with the delay before onset and the time to reach the peak flux level of the protons. Directions for improvements and extensions are also discussed. Author
