SHOCK DATA ANALYSIS SYSTEMS TEND TO BE EITHER LARGE, DIGITAL PROCESSING FACILITIES HANDLING BATCHES OF HUNDREDS OF RECORDS, OR SMALL, SLOW, OFTEN ANALOGUE SYSTEMS WHICH CAN PERFORM A LIMITED ANALYSIS ON A SMALL NUMBER OF RECORDS, BUT WHICH ARE PORTABLE. This report describes a system in the middle ground - capable of performing complete analysis of a moderate number of records in a reasonable time, accepting analogue magnetic-tape records as input and producing report-ready charts and tables output. The system utilizes standard, off-the-shelf instruments marketed nationwide and easily available, and of which could be replaced by a different suppliers product with little change in operation or performance.
