The feasibility of coupling a pair of amphibious tracked vehicles has been studied, with the objective of improving the land and water performance. Recommendations are made for a coupling system and its controls and for an articulated configuration. The advantages in land and water performance, as well as the drawbacks, are presented in comparison to single vehicles. The advantages exceed the drawbacks, it is recommended that existing vehicles be coupled and tested to establish their operational capability. Author
