Abstract:

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is responsible for the maintenance of general navigation channels at commercial and recreational harbors that are authorized Corps project and it is the responsibility of the Corps Buffalo District Office to maintain Cape Vincent Harbor. The Corps of Engineers is required to analyze and evaluate the economic feasibility and environmental impacts associated with proposed maintenance and construction activities in an authorized harbor. Therefore, the purpose of this reconnaissance study is to determine in a preliminary manner the economic feasibility of rehabilitating the breakwater at Cape Vincent Harbor, and the environmental impact of the proposed project.
