OxotrimolybdenumIV alkoxides, Mo30OR10 where R isopropyl and nepoentyl, have been discovered and are shown to be related to a rapidly emerging class of triangulo early transition metal complexes recently reported by Cotton and coworkers. A high yield synthesis of the new compounds is described and involves the addition of an oxomolybdenum6 unit across a Mo Triple Bond Mo bond. Author
