Abstract:

This report summarizes the mechanisms by which the ROSS simulator computes interactions collisions and proximities between objects. ROSS simulates an air penetration scenario and is being developed to research techniques for improving large-scale simulation. The basic algorithm is analyzed in detail to determine its feasibility in the context of large numbers of objects, and to determine where improvements in speed can occur. Author
