In this report, we discuss the amplitude, location, and the relative separation estimation accuracy of radar targets closely spaced in range using the Cramer-Rao bound. It is assumed that the phases of successive signals are coherent and therefore contain relative line-of-sight location information. It is shown that this information can substantially reduce the estimation error when compared with the case where the relative signal phase is random. Author
