A nonlinear numerical eigenvalue problem is solved to yield the shape and velocity profile of a submerged isothermal water mass assumed azimuthally symmetric and in gradient wind balance with a linearly stratified background. Solutions are found to exist and have widths approx. 30 km, heights approx. 100 m, and particle speeds at rim approx. 15 cmsec. Author
