Abstract:

TRAM or the Trajectory Reconstruction and Analysis method is prototype software under development of the Western Space and Missile Center that will render improvements in the ranges capability for Best Estimate of Trajectory Prediction. This report compares the modified Euler and Runge-Kutta methods of integrating the missiles powered flight trajectory and demonstrates that the Runge-Kutta is best. The report also compares the Runge-Kutta and the Adams-Moulton integrators in the TRAM transition matrix computation and again determines that the Runge-Kutta produces less error. Spline polynomials were also investigated as an interpolation technique in order to reduce integration time.
