Abstract:

The cataloging procedures for the Library Management and Retrieval System LMARS were developed to give Naval Underwater Systems Center NUSC Technical Library catalogers an efficient, coherent set of standards to use in entering records into the LMARS data base. The procedures were designed by modifying and adapting existing NUSC cataloging practices for consistent and practical application to the LMARS data base used by the NUSC Technical Libraries at the Newport and New London Laboratories.
