Abstract:

18TH SCALE MODEL HOUSES WERE EXPOSED TO AN AVERAGE 26 KPa 3.77 psi blast loading from 490 kg 1080 lb pentolite charges. Various configurations of shielding were used to determine the change in blast pressure loading on the walls, roof, and at locations inside the model. Comparisons of the recorded pressure-time histories are shown for unshielded, in-line shields, and for the test model within a complex of similar house models.
