Abstract:
Powder metallurgy PM steel forging is a relatively new fabrication process. Although experimental activities date back to the early 1960s, it was not until the early 1970s that the process was fully developed as a viable manufacturing technique. The process combines the advantages of fabricating net or near-net shape parts using conventional PM processing and of property enhancement achieved by subsequent forging. Author
