Abstract:

The purpose of this current research is to extend the analytical taxonomies of Navy tactical command and control decisions developed during the previous phase of this research, develop a practical method for using taxonomies of decision characteristics and functions to evaluate and improve decision aids, and apply the method to the identification and design of improved aids for antiair warfare decisions. In addition, several analytical procedures have been developed to measure formally some of the characteristics and capabilities of decision aids that are outlined in the taxonomies.
