Expedient shelters were blast-tested by a conventional explosion equivalent to a 0.2 KT nuclear explosion. The estimated survivabilities in a large nuclear explosion are 1 improved Small-Pole Shelter, 345 kPa 50 psi 2 triangular entryway and blastdoor made of poles, 173 kPa 25 psi 3 Chinese A-Frame Pole Shelter, 48 kPa 7 psi and 4 lightly shored Pole-Covered Trench Shelters, 103 kpa 15 psi.
