The objective of the study was to develop skill decay curves for sixteen common Soldiers Manual tasks for MOS 11B and 11C. Following a 2-4 week training period, all soldiers were given a performance posttest. Each solider was then requested to return for one performance retention test at one of the retest intervals 2-4 weeks, 6-7 weeks, or 10-13 weeks. The results of the study did not produce reliable skill decay curves. Author
