Abstract:

This is an author index to RAND Economics Department publications available in the open literature. It extends in time from the Departments establishment in 1948 to December 31, 1962. It includes monographs books and Reports, less formal monographs or working papers RAND Memoranda, and journal-type professional contributions Papers. Book reviews written by Economics Department authors and items now out of print are omitted. Because this is a departmental index it excludes some related publications issued by other departments, but it includes the work of authors elsewhere in RAND if issued by the Economics Department. A comprehensive guide to RAND open-literature publications can be found in the hardcover reference volume, Index of Selected Publications August 1962, and in the index-abstracts journal Selected RAND Abstracts, published yearly since 1962.
