The research deals with the application of abstract techniques in the study of the behavior and asymptotic stability of solutions to differential equations of reaction-diffusion type. These equations include models in a cellular control process with positive feed-back and a model in gas-liquid reactions. Most of the results are based on techniques that involve the determination of invariant sets for solutions and the preservation of inequalities between solutions.
