Abstract:

This report contains reliability and availability RMA information concerning RMA background and principles, RMA complexities encounted by the TACC Automation Program, and methods for enhancing RMA. Basic derivations and formulas are presented for modeling various redundant configurations. TACC Automation RMA complexities are discussed in terms of basic RMA definitions, system definition deficiencies, and RMA predictions.
