Abstract:

The purpose of this study was to determine the best of three methods of administering patient education based on both cost and benefits. The two objectives were to perform a costbenefit analysis CBA on the various approaches to administering patient education, and to make a recommendation based on the outcome of the CBA concerning the adaption of the winning alternatives. The conclusion of this analysis was that the PACOMED system is the best alternative based on cost and benefits.
