Abstract:

This final report describes candidate performance capability requirements for an automated, adaptive Landing Signal Officer LSO training system. The system includes adaptive training control, a wide-angle visual system, automated speech understanding, automated performance measurement and a simulated LSO workstation. The report traces the derivation of system capabilities by addressing LSO job analysis, LSO training requirements, system utilization syllabus, system functions and assessment of relevant technology.
