Abstract:
Hamiltons equations are basic in the study of theoretical mechanics. A particular class of motions of interest for are periodic ones. For Hamiltonians which are of the form H9p,q Kp,q Vq, we give sufficient conditions for the kinetic and potential energies K and V to satisfy so that possesses a periodic orbit on a prescribed energy surface.
