Abstract:

The AFCEC BirdAircraft Strike Hazard BASH Team surveyed Dover AFB DE, from 6 March to 17 March 1978. During this period, operational procedures, vegetation, animal populations and habitats were studied. Special emphasis was given to bird hazards to aircraft. Specific recommendations for operational changes and habitat modifications aimed at reducing the BASH potential at DOVER AFB are discussed. Author
