Evaluation of the U.S.N. Lightweight Diving Mask (Jack Browne)
NAVY EXPERIMENTAL DIVING UNIT PANAMA CITY FL
Pagination or Media Count:
The U.S.N Lightweight Diving Mask Jack Browne was tested unmanned by NEDU in May 1978. The tests evaluated mask flow rates and breathing resistance at varying OB pressures. Results predict the mask would support light and moderate diver work rates but is incapable of supporting a hard working diver even at shallow depths. The Jack Browne therefore does not meet the basic requirement of supporting a diver in an emergency situation or safely performing heavy work at any depth.
