Abstract:

Performance data were obtained for several crude oils used as fuel in the U.S. Army 6V53T engine. A crude oil containing 1.7w sulfur was steady-state endurance tested for 166 hours at which time the test was stopped due to a significant power decreased which was caused by a burnt exhaust valve.
