A Human Ballistic Mortality Model

A model that predicts the mortality rate of soldiers exposed to a ballistic threat has been developed. This model considers the interdependence of the different organs by incorporating an addition rule for adding the damages suffered by different organs. A method for obtaining the necessary vulnerability data is outlined. A computerized Monte Carlo solution of the model is briefly outlined in this report and will be developed more fully in a later BRL report. A sample problem is solved in an appendix to the report.
