Two implementations of quadriphase direct-sequence spread-spectrum multiple-access QDSSSMA communication systems are discussed and their performance is investigated. The average signal-to-noise ratio is related to the correlation parameters of the signature sequences for each system. The asymptotic behavior of the key aperiodic correlation parameters is investigated and preliminary numerical results are obtained. The results for QDSSSMA are compared and contrasted with previous results on biphase direct-sequence spread-spectrum multiple-access systems. Author
