Abstract:

This study was made to determine if female United States Air Force Security Specialists can perform as well in training as male Security Specialists. Information was obtained from various sources including California State University, Sacramento, library California Highway Patrol Federal Bureau of Investigation Academy library The Urban Institute The Police Foundation The International Association of Chiefs of Police The Brookings Institution various USAF agencies and, from interviews of numerous male and female Security Police. Certain background factors are related to training performance. The analyses of background factors did not indicate with consistency that one sex did better than the other in training performance.
