Abstract:

In recent years increased amounts of dimension lumber have been used per mobile home unit. This is a result of increasingly stringent construction standards adopted during the mid-1970s and because the average size per unit has increased. The demand for conventional exteriors in double-wide mobile homes has brought about large increases in the use of softwood and hardwood plywood. Gypsum board has been used increasingly as an alternative to hardwood plywood for interior walls. Author
