Abstract:

Training concepts which emphasize landing performance analysis, diagnostic feedback and remedial instruction for novice A7 pilots are described. FCLP performance is analyzed to identify low performers who are potential recycle trainees. A Night Carrier Landing Trainer NCLT provides individualized remedial training to improve eventual carrier landing performance. Results of a field test of the method are presented. Fleet performance of previous recycle trainees is reviewed and discussed along with recommendations for training implementation. Author
