Abstract:
Secondary flow theories are reviewed which can be employed to estimate the passage secondary vorticity near the inner wall of a rotor. Applications of these theories to a rotor operating within a boundary layer are discussed. For this case, the effect of blade rotation and changing relative velocity through the rotor on passage secondary vorticity become important. Author
