This report presents considerable data on expenditures for water-related outdoor recreation by users of McClellan-Kerr Arkansas River Navigation system. That system includes several multiple-purpose lakes and the navigation channel. Current recreational use is over 27 million visits per year, and expenditures average about 10 per visitor day, with visitors originating primarily from Arkansas and Oklahoma. Assessment of the economic impacts of the expenditure data gathered in this report will be made by the Institute for Water Resources, utilizing a four region, interregional input-output model. Author
