A series of epoxy coating systems some solvent-based and some water-emulsion and an alkyd coating system were exposed on steel panels to a tropical environment for use in repair of damaged coatings on antenna towers. Laboratory bonding tests were conducted before and after exposure. Three candidate coating repair systems were applied on a tank exterior at San Nicolas Island, and a larger experiment using two surface preparations and 16 coating systems on an antenna positioner. Coating systems are also being -- or have been -- exposed in a laboratory salt spray cabinet. Results of all these studies are described in this report.
