This is the initial occupational survey of the Integrated Avionics career ladder. The career field subdivision AFSCs 326XX was created in 1968. It was designed primarily to support the F-111 series aircraft. The Integrated Avionics System SpecialistTechnician AFSCs 326X2ABC was established in 1972. It was established to perform the flightline duties previously performed by avionic maintenance personnel on older aircraft with conventional avionic systems. Responsibility for the F-15A was added later and the F-16 will soon become the third weapon system requiring integrated avionics maintenance. The report describes 1 development and administration of the survey instrument 2 summaries of tasks performed by airmen grouped by skill level, experience level, and similarity of tasks performed 3 comparisons with career field structure documents and 4 conclusions and recommendations.
