Abstract:

A numerical lifting surface method based on velocity potential formulation is applied for predicting aerodynamic loads in steady and unsteady flows for fixed and as well as rotary wings. The theory and the numerical procedures are validated by comparing with other analytical and experimental results. The techniques developed resulted in very efficient computational schemes.
