Abstract:

This technical note documents a portion of Code 603s laboratory ROC and processing gain measurements. This is a continuation of laboratory experiments with a processing system similar to the LORAD system. The original LORAD DELTIC was modified in the laboratory to provide sample rates of 200, 400, and 800 samples per second with bandwidths of 10, 30, 100 and 300. Processing gain was measured with a PN signal for all combinations of bandwidth and sample rate. This memorandum documents 1 ROC measurements using PN signals having bandwidths of 10, 30, 100, 300 Hz at a sample rate of 800 Hz, and 2 ROC and processing gain measurements using linear FM signals having bandwidths of 30, 100, and 300 Hz at sample rates of 200, 400, and 800 Hz.
