Abstract:

Four repellents were field tested at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina using a newly developed four-site test method. Hexamethylene-carbamide and n-butane-hexamethyleneimime-sulfonamide were found to be significantly better than DEET, while triethylene-glycol ether was found to be only slightly less effective than DEET. The four-site field test method, was found to be an efficient screening method affording economical use of subjects. Author
