Abstract:

Functional forms specifying the diffusion characteristics for turbulent flow in the atmosphere are developed, based on the similarity theory of the surface boundary layer. Descriptors of concentration and vertical spread for a continuous point source near the earths surface are developed. Comparison to other treatises and to observational data both support the approach and confirm the accuracy of the method taken herein. Author
